You may find it odd for one to make a website devoted to a Playstation, but this little guy meant a lot to me. I got him only a year ago (X-mas 2000) and a year ago is when Sony started making the new PSX systems in Mexico (Other then Japan like before) Some of the first few that where released had flaws, mine being one of them, but it didn't take effect till after the warranty.
~The Name~
The name Shinji-kun was taken from a character in the anime series Evangelion. I named my PSX this for a few reasons. He was nice, always trying hard, and kind of of a wuss at the same time.
~The Sticker~
As you can tell, my PSX has a KOF sticker that I bought off Yahoo Auctions about 6 months ago (I have one just like it on my GameBoy) I like my things looking different then other peoples, and I thought this sticker was perfect.
~It's Problems~
Well, one of the first problems was the sound was screwy. Sometimes it would get annoying and make this wushing sound while the game played, and sometimes not play certain noises. (Like in DBZUB22) but sometimes it'd just be funny like in Bust A Groove. It would keep playing announcer waves in different tones. Or, In Resident Evil, it would play the wrong sounds at time. Like one day when Jill was walking on the grass, it was making a "cling cling" noise *laughs*
Of course, it would freeze sometimes too. As of late, the motor was acting up and the games would need help starting.
~The Game~
I had a good amount of games for my PSX, but one of the first games I started playing when I got it, and the last game I played before it died would be Final Fantasy 7, 8, and 9. Of course, 9 all I did was get to light the candle then "POOF" it was a goner.
~Why don't you just FIX it?~
I think my PSX has gone through to much, and I should get a new one. when I do, I will probably get another sticker, modchip, and even give it a new name. Maybe Nuriko or Kenshin. ^_^Thank you for visiting.
