My
theory of the Utena the movie, Adolescence is that Touga being the playboy
he is was dating Shiori and Utena. Juri was defiantly the girl who
drowned. You hear Shiori say that she once had a prince (a.k.a. Touga)
who died. She said it was actually a good friend of hers who did it.
I think that Touga truly loved Utena but dated Shiori too for no apparent
reason. That of course is why Shiori could see Touga, she loved him. Now Anthy! Anthy is not an apparition. She is a corpse, or a witch if you wish to call her. She got her powers by killing Akio. She knew that he drugged her a raped her so she played along. She stole the key to his car to drive him mad and make him kill himself. She can see Touga because he is a duelist so he even if he is a ghost duels to win her. Naughty Touga! : ) In my personal opinion I think Miki shows himself to be much more of a duelist, although we never see him duel Utena. "My wish is always to gain more power." He wants to be the one to revolutionize the world like every other duelist. Everyone deep in their hearts wants power. We also see that he wishes to go to the outside world. We see a car with the license plate Kozue in the tunnel of The End of the World. Right after that we see a rubber ducky like the one in the bath tub scene. Now that I have gotten far ahead of my self lets go back to Shiori. The scene when Shiori turns into a moth I think is showing how Shiori has grown into a mature women. It also shows her manipulative and evil side. |
